House DVD release

I am a huge fan of Dr House. DVD releases of each season give me a chance to watch each season over again and enjoy each episode as often as I want.  I can enjoy Hugh Laurie playing the sarcastic dark doctor with no bedside manner and have his meanness softened by the somewhat sappiness of Dr Wilson and Lisa Cuddy.  House dvd seasons are not released soon enough to give me my fill of watching this cast and the great story line that the writers have been able to come up with season after season.  I am not an expert on the medical side and what I hear from my friend who is an md, house dvd is not a place to look for accurate portrayal on how any doctor in the world diagnosis and treats any disease or set of symptoms.  Plus they are little sloppy when it comes to even the mundane medical issues.  I for one think that there is plenty of graphic medical things to keep me from wanting anything in more detail.  I also understand that not every case that is mystery takes 4 twists and has the patient laying at death’s door but that makes better television than a 3 year evaluation that eventually ends with no solution.

House DVD collection

I dread the day when the last House dvd is added to my collection. As long as they keep writing and producing new shows I don’t have to worry, but sometime in the next several years they will pull the show and the next year I will add my last house dvd to my collection and there will be no more waiting in anticipation for the release of the new house dvd and I will be rewatching house dvds from previous years.
